Our Behavioral Health team is focused on promoting the health and well-being of the whole person – mind, body and spirit.  Licensed Social Workers work closely with our primary care medical team to evaluate how stress, mood and anxiety problems, trauma, relationship difficulties, alcohol or other substance use, and other challenges in life affect and limit our patients’ overall health.  A specialized treatment plan is then developed utilizing consultation, counseling, and if needed, medication designed to address each patient’s unique circumstances and needs. Integrating behavioral health with primary care has been shown to improve emotional and physical health better than trying to address these separately.
